Program and Structure

The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), collaborates with the Rutgers School of Public Health and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School to provide a strong interdisciplinary environment for education, research, and real-world training.

This Fellowship, in partnership with the Real World Value and Evidence (RWVE) Solid Tumor Oncology team at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, offers hands-on experience in real-world evidence research, health economics, patient outcomes, and market access. Fellows work with RWVE researchers to generate high-quality evidence demonstrating the value of J&J Innovative Medicine products.

The program combines onsite industry research in Titusville, New Jersey, with didactic coursework and professional seminars. Fellows are employed by Rutgers University for one year, with potential renewal for a second year, and gain experience in study design, literature review, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Fellows may also enroll in up to three graduate-level Rutgers courses.
