Program and Structure
The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University is part of Rutgers Biomedical Health Sciences (RBHS) and collaborates closely with the Rutgers School of Public Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Together, these institutions provide a rich environment for interdisciplinary professional education, applied research, and real-world training.
This Fellowship program, in partnership with the Real World Value and Evidence (RWVE) Solid Tumor Oncology team at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, offers a significant opportunity for individuals interested in research focused on real-world evidence, health economics, cost and service utilization, patient outcomes, and market access and policy. The RWVE team is composed of researchers dedicated to generating high-quality evidence that demonstrates the value of J&J Innovative Medicine products for patients, providers, payers, and policy makers.
The program includes hands-on research experience, didactic coursework, and professional seminars to strengthen skills in applying real-world data within an industry setting. Fellows will work onsite with RWVE researchers in Titusville, New Jersey, and will be employed by Rutgers University for one year, with the possibility of a second-year renewal based on performance and funding. They will gain experience informing study design, conducting literature reviews and data analyses, developing health economic models, and collaborating across functional teams to support decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
Fellows will also have the opportunity to take up to three graduate-level courses through Rutgers to further enhance their academic and professional development.
