Overview of Rutgers HOPE
In recent years, there has been a significant focus on healthcare costs, policies, benefits, and comparative effectiveness in relation to improving patent outcomes. There is an increasing need for highly trained professionals in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR). These individuals provide expert analysis and research in economic analysis and modeling methodologies, patent reported outcomes, epidemiology, and policy application. The need for HEOR talent extends across the pharmaceutical and biotech industries to healthcare providers, private payers, and within government agencies. Rutgers University, with its premiere schools of biomedical and health sciences, as well as geographic proximity to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, is uniquely situated to provide robust HEOR training. Our current areas of cost and outcomes research include aging and dementia, ocular disease, blood products, and vaccine-preventable diseases.
